7 Critical Distinctions Between A Producer And A Procrastinator

7 Critical Distinctions Between A Producer And A Procrastinator
by Zamri Nanyan

Oftentimes, we fall into both a producer and a procrastinator category in our lives. What we need to know is that being a procrastinator is not something good and once we realize the state we're in, we have to stand back up and become a producer again. That will make sure that the results we're getting are aligned with the vision we're creating.

I had a chance to listen to a one-hour teleseminar by Johnny Wimbrey recently and managed to jot down a few points for the readers to benefit. The topic matched nicely with the points that we're discussing here.

What are the 7 critical distinctions between a producer and a procrastinator?

Here are a few points Johnny Wimbrey talked about.

1. A Producer Is A Winner But A Procrastinator Is A Whiner.

Producers have a winning mindset. They eat, sleep and breathe winning possibility. These are the people who surround themselves around other winners. They allow themselves to be mentored by other successful people, and they become students for life. If there are any problems, they know that they themselves are bigger than the problems they face.

Procrastinators have stinking thinking and always look at things in a negative perspective. They focus on personal and external limitations. When there is a problem, they whine, cry and question everything in life. They don't seek advice and are not interested to be mentored by other successful people.

2. A Producer Is Responsive But A Procrastinator Is Reactive.

Response is the root of responsibility. This is the quality of a producer. Being responsive means that producers control circumstances and they think before taking action.

Procrastinators, on the other hand, react to circumstances. They act without thought. When something happens, they can become panic and lose control. This leads to more bad circumstances in life.

3. A Producer IS Optimistic But A Procrastinator Is Pessimistic.

Producers address challenges in life effectively. They understand that there will be hard time and although nobody likes hard time in life, producers are always prepared to face circumstances. They see through the clouds and believe that there is always sunshine.

Procrastinators run from challenges. In fact, they don't like facing them. They are fearful and when challenges arise, they feel stressed as if they couldn't charge through hell in life.

4. A Producer Takes Risk But A Procrastinator Makes Wishes.

Risk takers create moment of possibility through invested time, money and energy in their dreams. Producers know that they have to be 'sacrificial' and give something up so that they can get up in life. They don't know what tomorrow will bring but they are ready to face the unknown.

Procrastinators hope for the moment of possibility. They wish that their dreams come true and become content and comfortable. They fear the unknown and are not ready to step out of their comfort zone. In the end, they stay where they are with the unfulfilled wishes.

5. A Producer Has Visions But A Procrastinator Has Only Illusions.

Producers have faith in their decisions. They see obstacle and see through it. They know that they will get their goals with their actions. That's why producers are firm believers in goal setting. They start their journey now and don't delay.

Procrastinators want their results based on sight, meaning that they have to see the results first before taking action. That is why there's always lots of reasons why they do not get started at something. What they do is only inventing obstacle that does not exist in the first place.

6. A Producer Has Preparation But A Procrastinator Has Improvision.

Producers are always prepared and they inspect what they expect. For example, if they have speaking engagement, they will make sure that everything like research on topic, target audience and appropriate content is taken care of. And, they will make sure that what they expect to deliver will satisfy the audience. Then, they stay on plan.

Procrastinators don't expect to be successful. Whatever happens will happen and they keep on hoping that their wishes come true. They move by emotion and after information.

7. A Producer Execute But A Procrastinator Makes Excuses In Life.

Producers have an attitude that they MUST be successful. They will implement and execute the right principals to reach their goals. In order for them to be successful, they will participate in anything that will lead them to their goals. Producers also have a sense of urgency in what they do and they begin with an end in mind.

Procrastinators, however, just have justifications. They will justify for any reasons why they fail in life. They WANT to be successful but don't think that they MUST be successful. It leads them to postpone their action because of their dead-end mind says so.

To summarize, I have to admit that these 7 critical distinctions between a producer and a procrastinator are a reminder for you and me. We will fall in one of these two categories in life, but we have to realize it quickly and align ourselves with the producer mindset.

Let me close by what Johnny Wimbrey said in his teleseminar.

"I WANT You To Be Successful But I MUST Be Successful".

Let's all have this quote embedded in our mind at all time.

Get Rich Quick Silly Online Investment

Get Rich Quick Silly Online Investment
by Zamri Nanyan

To tell you the truth, I'm outrageously mad at what I've seen on the local tv news these past few days.

Being involved in the intenet and network marketing industry for quite some time now, this phenomenon more or less affects my business as people will be more skeptical to the 'real' online business.

I knew that this would be a hot debate but I did not expect it to come so soon.

A month ago, a friend sent me an email.

It goes something like this:

Join my side business. Checkout this website ______.

Wow! An investment with a 20% return in a month and a 300% return in less than a year.

It definitely is a 'good to be true' program and definitely not worth to check out any further. Immediately, I know it is a bomb to be exploded and a real-life scam in action.

Politely, I respond saying that he has to be careful in this type of investment and seek advice from people who are more experienced in internet business (this is a 'so-called' internet investment scheme).

He sends a reply saying that he has done his homework and is sure that this business is legitimate.

A quick search on the Internet leads me to a lot of confusions and contradicting 'facts' about the company and their operation.

I conclude that it is a scam.

A week later, my friend sends me another email, but this time, there is a screen capture of his 20% return on the money he has invested. There's also a screen capture of other members getting high returns from their backoffice website.

I say that this is a serious issue and since my advice is not being heard, I hope my friend won't be so blind to see what's coming ahead.

Sure enough... a few days ago, there has been the talk of the nation (not the talk of the town anymore) that there was 2 individuals who were now under investigation of internet scam and fraud.

These two individuals are allegedly related to this investment company and four others that they have operated before.

The sad part is that they've 'robbed' more than USD$200 million (I repeat USD$200 million) doing these illegal operations, and a few of their accomplices are being investigated as well.

I've not heard anything from my friend yet, but let's put that aside and be rational about what we should be doing if you really want to build a business or get into any investment schemes.

1. Ask yourself if this business or online investment makes sense. The second richest man in the world probably makes 20% out of his stocks, mutual funds and other investments. If you are talking about a 20% return in a month, you will easily replace the richest man in the world in no time. In 5 years, you can even buy a country with this return on investment. Does this make sense?

2. In a business or investment, you make money from selling products or exchange goods. In other words, there is products or services involved. Where does the money come from is important. If the money comes from a certain percentage of the investments made by other participants, that's a clear sign of 'stay away or you'll get burned'. What happens if there is no more participants? The whole scheme will collapse and, this is a classic example of Ponzi scheme or pyramid.

3. A company that manage mutual funds or other types of investments should have a license to operate their business. If you are not sure about this, you need to question them until you are satisfied with the answers. If there is doubts, seek advice from people who know. Yes, it can blind-fold you and drift you away from seeing the actual facts when all you see from the compay is so good that you think you'd miss the whole world if you missed the opportunity to join. Don't be distracted and get all the facts you need. It is your hard-earned money that you're throwing away if you ignore the truths.

There are many more questions that you might want to ask yourself when you are presented with an investment opportunity. If it involves an online investment, you have to be more extra cautious.

A college student can build a website that looks like a professionally run corporate website. A conman can buy a cheap $50 software and create a pyramid scheme. Another person can write a compelling enough sales letter and a fake profile of the company. That's enough to make a perfect scam of the year.

I don't mean to scare you with all what's written here. I just want you to be aware of the con artists out there in the cyberworld.

There's always lots of money to be made online through other proper channels and a "Get Rich Quick Silly Online Investment" is not one of them.

Stay miles and miles away from them and be wiser in investing your own money.

Maximizing The Effectiveness Of Your Network Marketing Advertising Dollars

Maximizing The Effectiveness Of Your Network Marketing Advertising Dollars
by Zamri Nanyan

It is common to assume that you advertise to get leads or prospects to look into your network marketing program and potentially have these prospects join your organization.

What is not commonly known to most networkers is that they can maximize the effectiveness of their advertising dollars by getting their money back either when their prospects join or do not join their program.

While this method can easily be done online, you can find a way to do it offline as well.

In our discussion here, let's assume that you have an online MLM to start with.

1. Your network marketing program as a back-end profit

Your intention is to quickly recoup your advertising cost before your prospects even take a look at your network marketing program.

You can do this by selling quality infoproduct, such as an ebook - educating your prospects about network marketing in particular or the products or services your network marketing company has to offer.

For example, if your prospects are internet marketers, it makes sense to tell them how internet marketing and network marketing can work together hand-in-hand nicely to further increase their income. Tell them that network marketing industry is not the same as it was before ten years ago.

So, creating an ebook about the topic above will probably be a good choice to introduce network marketing concept to internet marketers in general. Then, make sure you suggest a company (your network marketing company) for them to check out.

In this case, you already made upfront profit from selling your ebook, and if your customers join your network marketing program, it will be a bonus residual income for you.

Here's a real life example of how it is perfectly done:

http://www.NetMLMProfit.com/special.html

What if you couldn't create an ebook?

Try creating an e-course or starting a newsletter. Then, charge a small fee for your e-course or newsletter subscription. That will work too.

2. Your network marketing program as a front-end profit

This is a direct approach with a little twist.

You advertise your online network marketing program but before you let your prospects know more about your products or services, make sure you get their contact information first.

Their contact information could be their names, emails and phone numbers.

Then, get this information into your autoresponder or your mailing list software.

While introducing your MLM program to your prospects, your autoresponder can do an automatic follow up with your prospects.

After mailing your prospects 7 or 8 times, your prospects would either drop off from your mailing list, join your network marketing program or are not interested to join but want to keep in touch with you.

This is when you'll introduce complementary products to your MLM business.

For example, you can inform your prospects that they can build a website to do prospecting or simply to sell something on the internet.

If your prospects are network marketers in different companies, they will be interested to know how to effectively find prospects online. If your prospects are those who look for a way to make money online, your resource will be helpful to them too. Either way, you have both groups covered and you'll get commissions from every sale you recommend the complementary product.

At the same time, you still want to mention your MLM program in case they change their minds and join you in the future.

For your information, these are the two strategies that have been used by many top network marketers to make sure that they will always be in a win-win-win situation.

Now that you have this knowledge, go out and apply either one or both strategies. Of course, there are pros and cons to doing everything. So, check with your leaders if these ideas might bring more success to your team.

Internet Marketing Vs Network Marketing?

Internet Marketing Vs Network Marketing?
by Zamri Nanyan

Which one do you want to venture into?

Internet business? Or, network marketing business?

In my opinion, you have to find out what you really want (money, good contact, getting new knowledge etc.). Then learn and investigate. Yes, you might fail in either one of both - be it in network marketing or internet marketing. But sometimes, you don't really fail but you're actually progressing towards your goals.

Let me give you an analogy. You build a website and do lots of traffic generations, and you are spending your hard-earned money for two months now. Results - no sale. No income.

Then you quit, put down your website and look for other avenues of income.

What you didn't know was...

If you keep doing what you've been doing, you will make your first sale on the third month, fourth month and so on. You will be generating income from your internet business. But, this all will never happen if your story was written only until month 2.

You might think that this story is fictitious and yeah, a story to make you feel good but nothing more than that, but what if I said that this actually happened to me? To tell you the truth, it really did happen to me and I hope it can be an inspiration to anyone reading this article too.

I made my first sale only after three months on the internet and by that time, I have spent lots of money powering up the business. But, it all is worth it now - knowing that I've got more than I invested before.

Back to internet marketing vs. network marketing...

My take is... find a way to do both.

I got a chance to read an ebook by Daegan Smith ( www.NetMLMProfit.com ) and I believe it will be a good start to know more about doing network marketing on the internet.

Daegan talks about lead generation from the Internet and building an effective website to drive quality prospects to your network marketing program. All of this can be setup once and can passively attract prospects over and over again. For some of you, these are not something new but it works for him and it will definitely work for you too.

If you study carefully, there are many other internet marketers joining or considering to join an internet based network marketing program. I know that they already make lots of money from their internet business, but why are they still looking into network marketing?

Probably it's not money they are looking for.

Probably it's because of the value in the network marketing program itself.

Probably because they are having fun just to be around successful people in another business field.

Whatever it is, you can have both internet and network marketing as your income generator.

In summary, I hope you'll consider internet marketing and network marketing at the same time. Entrepreneurs are always open for new ideas and new business ventures.

Find out what you really want.

How To Choose An MLM Program

How To Choose An MLM Program
by Zamri Nanyan

There are lots of good MLM programs out there and there are so many which are just the opposite. Obviously, people look at a lot of criteria when it comes to choosing the best program they want to join. I won't list tens of pages here, but I'll list down 3 of the most important criteria.

1. Product / Service

  • How do you feel about the product?
  • Do you think that it will benefit you even if there is no compensation plan attached to it?
  • Do you think what you'll be paying is worth the product you'll get? (Sometimes the product can be expensive but the values and benefits it gives are worth many folds more than the amount you pay).
  • Do you think that you can recommend this product/service to others without hesitation? If you can feel proud to recommend the product to others, you have a winning product in hand.

  • 2. Company

Look for a stable company. Do some research. Normally, a company with 5 years in existence has a tendency to be a good company to join. This is especially true for the offline MLM and traditional business. Of course, some companies with 10 years of operation can go under too, but 5 years is a good first benchmark.

Bear in mind also that many top Network Marketing leaders join MLM companies within their first year operation. These people know the companies and the people behind the companies well - that's the only exception to choose a company with no proven track record. If you come across a new company with good product, great people behind it and an experienced direct upline, do diligent study on the company. You might be looking at a goldmine.

    3. Upline

Upline are the people in your line of sponsorship. They have vested interest in your success and your growth. So, it is critical to at least know the person who introduces you to the program. This person doesn't have to be mega successful. However, he or she should be a person who has the right attitude and minds to succeed in the business. You will be interacting with him or her a lot. So, you might as well like this person. He or she should also have upline who have a good system to follow. Ask that person how you will grow your business 'together'.

If you can reach your upline a few levels above you, try to do so. Let them know that you are serious in the business and that they should give attention to you when you face any challenges. Good and smart upline will help his or her downline who are serious in building the business.

While these three criteria are not formal rules to follow, they will definitely help you succeed in your MLM business, whether it's online or offline.

    Good Luck!

    Self-funded Recruiting

I'm going to take an example of a person who is giving away his $19.95 value Audio CD for free as a method to draw visitors to his website. Then, I'll explain to you how you can generate free leads and recruit new distributors effortlessly by using his strategy.

First, head over to http://mlmlessons.com/networkingmillionaire and read the website. John Di-Lemme is really giving you his free Audio CDs. All you need to pay is shipping and handling cost, which is less than $6 if you stay in the States and less than $12 internationally.

Now, John also plugs in an affiliate program so that whoever recommends his Audio CDs, will get paid.

How much is the commission for the affiliate?
The cost of shipping and handling of the CDs.

What's the cost incurred on John to get targeted leads?
The cost of making the Audio CDs, which could probably be less than $1.

    Who wins?
Everybody wins. John gets qualified leads, the referrers get commissions and the person who requested the CDs gets great information for free (pay only shipping and handling).

While John's giving away the CDs might not be for recruiting purpose, you definitely have to know that this is one great way to get qualified prospects almost free of charge.

If you have a website, start giving away your prospecting Audio tapes or CDs this way. If you think tapes and CDs are expensive, try ebooks. Ebooks in pdf or .exe are easy to produce and the cost to create them is only one time.

    Have you seen these excuses?

    I have... very recently.

Well, the next time you hear them, forward this report immediately.

On a second thought, do it now and forward this report to all your downline (new and old) before the same scenario happens again.

For your information, this no-hold-barred report is by Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter (taken directly from his Leadership Newsletter). He sent it to his list in 1997 - and the best part is... the wisdom is still valid until today... and it will still be in the future too...
